TOWN OF WILLINGTON

NOTICE AND WARNING

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

     The electors of the Town of Willington and all persons who are entitled to vote in Town Meeting on the matters mentioned in the following warning are hereby warned and notified to meet in Hybrid Town Meeting held in the Town Office Building; 40 Old Farms Road and via Zoom meetings, Meeting ID: 885 6058 0674 Passcode: 967146 at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 for the following purpose:

ITEM I

To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the appropriation from the Capital Reserve Fund, for the Center School partial roof replacement project, which was approved on 3/11/2020, from $448,350 to $650,000, with any State reimbursement being returned to the Capital Reserve Fund.

ITEM II

To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize appropriation from the Capital Reserve Fund, for the Hall Memorial School roof replacement project, which was approved on 3/11/2020, from $605,050 to $945,000, with any State reimbursement being returned to the Capital Reserve Fund.

ITEM III

To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize  the appropriation of $4500  from the Parks and Recreation Capital Fund for the Natural Resource Inventory and Forest Management  Plan for Fenton Ruby Park

Rules of Hybrid Special Town Meeting March 31, 2021

This meeting will be conducted pursuant to Governor Ned Lamont’s’ Executive order No. 9H

Health precautions: the meeting will follow all CDC, State of Connecticut Department of Public Health, and Eastern Highlands Health District protocol as applicable. Masks will be required.

The public may attend the meeting in person up to 15 individuals.

Those choosing to attend electronically with video via Zoom.us must be electors of the Town of Willington and must show ID for verification. This verification process will begin 30 minutes prior to meeting.

Each device logged into the meeting via Zoom.us will receive NO MORE THAN ONE VOTE PER QUESTION.
