 Public Hearing called to order at 7:30 PM.

 

 PUBLIC HEARING:

 

ZBA2018-3 Application for variance from section 4.05 building in front or rear yard for 12X20 garage at 21 Red Oak Hill Road Owner/Applicant: Diane Wright (Received March 8, 2018 Public Hearing April 12, 2018 Decision within 65 days after close of P.H.)

 

Diane Wright was present to speak about her application. She stated that she would like to put a garage in front for her home. She said that she has a small lot that the well was on the right side and the septic is located in the back of the house. On the left side of the property the land drops off.

The hardship for the variance is the topography of the land, location of the septic system and the well.

Eastern Highland Health District has approved the site.

 A site walk was done by Board Members on April 5, 2018.

 

Motion to close the Public Hearing.

 

Motion was made by J. Rup to add a pre-application. The motion was seconded by John Prusak. All Members voted in favor.

 

Katherine Given was present and said that she would like to build a detached garage with an in-law apartment above it. She said that she had talk to the zoning agent and was told per the regulations that it was not allowed.

The Board Member stated that it would difficult to allow a variance for this use. They suggested that she investigate attaching the building to the primary residents that is allowed by the regulations.

B. Bland motion to approve the variance for section 4.05 building in front yard to build a garage. John Prusak seconded the motion. All Members voted in favor.

J. Prusak motion to approve the minutes of March 8, 2018. W. Bland seconded the motion. All Members voted in favor.

M. Masinda motion to adjourn. W. Bland seconded the motion. All voted in favor. Meeting was adjourned.
