Attending Members:  
Joe Colangelo, Mike Pinatti, Ed Taiman, Bill Bilyak and Chelsea Bellefleur were in attendance.   

Attending Non-Members:
Maureen Parsell was in attendance.

Meeting called to order at 7:03 PM.  

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Minutes from previous meetings were approved.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:

No general discussion at this time.

DIRECTORS REPORT:

End of basketball season family night occurred on 4/21. Great turnout.

Possible basketball fundraisers/programs have been discussed among coaches.

Weekly International Folk Dancing, moved to old town hall; increased attendance.

Babysitting course – 2 full sessions in April.  Request for additional classes, possibly at end of year.

Yoga, Center School all-purpose room. “Yoga in the Park” may be scheduled for the summer.

CPR/AED course will be setting up in June.

Hoping for a boating course in June.

Boston bus trip cancelled for 3/25; Lower Manhattan bus trip on 4/22 – full attendance; Bronx Zoo bus trip on 5/13 – full attendance; Red Sox bus trip on 6/10 – 3 seats left; James Taylor bus trip on 7/4 – full attendance.

Summer concert series food truck and band search are in development.

Halls Pond – dock needs assessment; being stored at Public Works.

Will be requesting volunteers to do basketball set-up at Willington Day.

OLD BUSINESS:  

RRAC projects continue, including CIP funded irrigation projects.

WPRC members reviewed the [4] fields and waterfront.  All fields are in good condition.

Discussion of updates for RRAC projects (staining the scoreboard posts, spreading stone under bleachers, stone base in front of concession stand) were discussed.  Little league is spreading stone under bleachers and in front of concession stand.  Staining scoreboard posts discussed.

NEW BUSINESS:

Budget review discussed for 2017/2018

NEU is tentatively making land purchase next to RRAC for lighted soccer fields next to RRAC

RRAC Sponsor package for summer concerts has been created and distributed; other sponsor packages for activities such as pond party, tree lighting and snow day activities are in development for 2018

Registration online credit card usage discussed, will follow-up more

RRAC parking lot lighting discussed; vendor and estimated project cost needed; $12,000 lighting budget activity approved.  Set-up of security cameras discussed – more discussion to follow

ADJOURNMENT:

Joe Colangelo motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Bill Bilyak.  The meeting adjourned at 8:18 PM.  The next meeting is scheduled for May 22nd, 2017 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
