YOGA-Willington Recreation Programs
2010-Session 7
Program Information-Universal Yoga
These yoga classes are for everyone who wants to improve their health and well-being. Yoga is a carefully designed and extensive program using gentle and restorative yoga, modified postures, breath work and meditation with the intent of giving relief from physical pain and improving joint and organ functions.
Participants will improve their posture and flexibility. The posture positions improve blood circulation; promote sound sleep and relaxation allowing the body to heal itself. The individually guided breathing techniques promote harmony and release stress. This class is especially appropriate for individuals who wish to get their bodies back to health after illness, surgery or injury. It can help those suffering from various difficult physical conditions, like back pain and arthritis. The techniques taught are appropriate for beginners, older adults as well as advanced yoga students.
