Regular Meeting
October 23, 2007
7:00 PM
Attending Members: Mike Harnad, Mike Pinatti, Ed Taiman and Al Ference. John Sahi was also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:06 PM.
Greg Suchy arrived 7:09 PM
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. Mike Harnad made a motion to accept the minutes without changes, which was seconded by Mike Pinattii. All members were unanimous in approval.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Mike Pinatti suggested sending a letter to Stafford Savings asking for a donation to the River Road Athletic Complex. Discussion of general donations followed. Greg Suchy volunteered to get names of local companies from the Tolland Chamber of Commerce.
DIRECTORS REPORT:
Mystic trip was a success. Karate is starting a new session, first session was successful. John Sahi to meet with Jay O’Keefe of Mansfield to discuss upcoming basketball season on November 24th.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Basketball referee clinic set for Dec 2nd. November 3rd and 10th are reserved for the basketball clinic. November 5th is set for coaches/Rec Commission meeting to make basketball teams.
B. Karl has not returned the bid package for baseball field fencing.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Ed Taiman discussed tree planting at River Road. Decision was made to wait until walking path is installed and volleyball/basketball court is decided upon.
B. Infield cutting cost $8,000.
C. Next meeting commission will discuss CIP.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mike Harnad motioned to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:12PM. The next meeting is scheduled for November 27th, 2007 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
