BUILDING FEES
ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION
House:
Building Fees for home New Construction are based on the total square footage of the proposed structure.  The estimated cost is calculated as $100.00 times the total square footage of the proposed structure rounded to the next higher $1,000.
The Building fee is then calculated as:
Rounded Estimated Cost divided by $1,000
Example:    Mary's new family room addition will be 16'x16' or 256 sq ft.
To calculate the estimated cost:  256 sq. ft. times $100.00 = $25,600
So the Building Fee for Mary's new addition is:  $25,600 rounded up to $26,000, divided by 1,000 = $260
Mary's Building Fee for her new family room is $260.00
Garage:
Building Fees for garage New Construction are based on the estimated cost of the proposed structure.  The estimated cost is calculated as $35.00 times the total square footage of the proposed garage rounded to the next higher $1,000.
The Building Fee is then calculated as: 
Rounded Estimated Cost divided by $1,000 times $10.00
Example:        The Smith's are planning to construct a new garage that will be 30'x30' or 900 sq. ft.  
To calculate the estimated cost:  900 sq.ft. times $35.00 = $31,500
The Building Fee will be:  $31,500 rounded up to $32,000 divided by $1,000 times $10 = $320.00
The Smith's Building Fee for their new garage will be $320.00
Deck/Porch:
Building Fees for deck/porch New Construction are based on the estimated cost of the proposed structure.  The estimated cost is calculated as $25.00 times the total square footage of the proposed deck or porch.
The Building Fee is then calculated as: 
Estimated Cost divided by $1,000 times $10.00
Example:        Joe is planning to construct a new deck that will be 10'x12' or 120 sq. ft.  
To calculate the estimated cost:  120 sq.ft. times $25.00 = $3,000
The Building Fee will be $3,000 divided by $1,000 times $10 = $30.00
Joe's Building Fee for his new deck will be $30.00
Electrical, Mechanical and/or
Plumbing:
Building Fees for Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing work are based on the estimated cost of the proposed construction rounded up to the next higher $1,000, starting with a base fee.  
The Fee is calculated as:       
Estimated Cost over $1,000 divided by $1,000 times $10.00, plus $35.00

Example:        The Burn's are installing a new bathroom and the estimated cost of the plumbing work is $4,516.00.  For calculation of the building fee the estimated cost is rounded up to $5,000
The Building Fee will be $4,000 (the amount over $1,000) divided by $1,000 times $10 = $40.00
To this result add $35 as the base fee.
The Burn's Building Fee for the plumbing of their new bathroom will be $75.00
Pool:
Building Fees for the installation of a new Pool are based on the estimated cost of the proposed construction starting with a base fee.  
The Fee is calculated as:       
Estimated Cost over $1,000 divided by $1,000 times $10.00, plus $30.00

Example:        The Grey's are installing a new Pool and the estimated cost of the pool construction is $29,275.00, rounded up to $30,000.
The Building Fee will be $29,000 divided by $1,000 times $10 = $290.00
To this result add $30 as the base fee.
The Grey's Building Fee for their new pool will be $320.00
Re-Roof:
Building Fees for Re-Roofing are based on the estimated cost of the proposed construction rounded to the next higher $1,000.  
The Fee is calculated as:       
Estimated Cost divided by $1,000 times $10.00

Example:        The Richard's are having their existing house re-roofed and the estimated cost of the work is $16,721.00, rounded up to $17,000.
The Building Fee will be $17,000 divided by $1,000 times $10 = $170.00
The Richard's Building Fee for re-roofing their house will be $170.00

$24.00 each fireplace
$34.00 two fireplaces with same flue

Demo Permit Fee:
Permit Fees for Demolition work are based on the estimated cost of the project rounded up to the next higher $1,000 and starting with a base fee.  
The Fee is calculated as:       
Estimated Cost over $1,000 divided by $1,000 times $10.00, plus $35.00

Example:        The David's are planning to demolish an existing house to construct a new one.  The estimated cost of the Demolition work is $27,925.00, rounded up to $28,000.
The Building Fee will be $27,000 divided by $1,000 times $10 = $270.00
To this result add $35 as the base fee.
The David's Demolition Permit fee will be $305.00
Commercial Fee:
Building Fees for Commercial New Construction are based on the estimated cost of the proposed project (based on contract price) rounded to the next higher $1,000.  
The Building Fee is then calculated as: 
Rounded Estimated Cost over $1,000 divided by $1,000 times $10.00 plus the base fee of $10

Example:        QRS Construction Company has a project estimated to cost $7,235.00 rounded up to $8,000.
The Building Fee will be $7,000 divided by $1,000 times $10 = $70.00, plus $10
QRS's Building Fee  will be $80.00
