Flagpole Dedication at Willington Senior Complex 11-11-17
Willington Residents and Businesses,

The Willington Seniors have erected a 35 foot Flagpole as part of a memorial  to honor Veterans who live in Willington or families living in Willington that have a veteran in their family. Adjacent to the Flagpole will be an area of Pavers etched with the names, ranks, years of service and the branch of Service of Veterans or a appropriate remembrance.  This Memorial to honor their service to our country will be located in the center of the new parking lot, central to the Senior Center and the new Button Hill Senior Housing.
The Willington Seniors and the Town of Willington would like to extend a formal Invitation for you to honor us at the dedication on Veteran’s Day 2017 at 11:00 AM at 20 Senior Way, Willington, CT.

We have also planned to host an open house at the Senior Center .

This Memorial is open to all of the Branches of Service including the Merchant Marines.  Because I am a Veteran that served overseas during the Vietnam War I am aware of the service that was provided to our country while I was overseas.  These other veterans did their part in protecting our country as did I and other that served overseas.  I felt that it was time that they were also recognized for their duty to our country.
Thank You,
Edward D’Agata, President, Willington Seniors
